After returning from NEBY Fest 2007, many of the Bahá'í youth of Columbus, Ohio were inspired by the spirit of service upon which the Chilean Temple is being built. Initially unsure of which area of the Cause to raise funds for, the encouragement of the representatives from the National Center quickly helped make the decision easy. The week after returning from NEBY Fest, it was unanimously decided to hold a breakfast fundraiser for the completion of the Chilean Temple.

The youth arrived early that Sunday morning in order to make dozens of pancakes, eggs, and bacon for the community, many of them wearing Chilean Temple t-shirts which they had purchased at NEBY Fest. The breakfast fundraiser attracted over 50 people from the Columbus community, much to the surprise of the youth who planned it. In the words of one enthusiastic youth, "We had such a wonderful turn out, everyone was really excited to support the cause!" A devotional program followed the breakfast, and included the Writings of Shoghi Effendi about the importance of building the Mashriqu'l-Adhkárs.

The Chilean Temple breakfast fundraiser was a huge success, bringing the Columbus community together in a unifying spirit of love and service in the name of Bahá'u'lláh. The youth managed to also exceed their fundraising goal, raising over one thousand dollars for the Temple of Light!
